Brigus is a very quaint and small community located about 50 minutes outside St. John’s. Accommodations and Hospitality are limited but there are some great options listed here below.
For those of you looking to spend extra time with us please know that we will be staying in Brigus from Wednesday, August 26th until Friday, September 4th at Kent Cottage, and we will be updating our calendar with activities that are family friendly throughout that time! Activities will include bbq dinners, walks and hiking, swimming, biking, live music, dancing and yoga. Kids all ages are welcome.
Please let us know if you are looking for accommodations as we have secured some options for family and friends flying from away from Wednesday to Monday – August 26th to 31st.
If you have already secured accommodations, and have extra space, let us know if you can host one or two more people.
If you are flying – destination is St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador & Y Y T is the airport code. The airport is 10min from downtown St. John’s if you wanna come to the city first.
If you are coming from Europe the airline WestJet is flying directly from Paris and London, or you can use a different airline that will layover in Toronto or Montreal.
If you are driving from the mainland you can cross by ferry with Marine Atlantic to Argentia (1.5h to Brigus or to St. John’s).
The Quay Restaurant right in the heart of Brigus, this restaurant offers pub and traditional foods.
Vindicator Press will be closed for our wedding on the 29th but open all other days, this is a great option for morning coffee and lunches.

Born and Bread Bakery local baked goods!
The Newfoundland Distillery Company only 10min drive outside of Brigus, great snacks and drinks!
Grocery Shops in Bay Roberts only 15min drive from Brigus. We encourage people to get groceries and cook meals together for many potluck-style feasts.
Mad Rock Cafe a 25min drive from Brigus with beautiful hiking trails nearby and delicious breakfast and lunch options.
The Overfalls a great place to bring our kids for a swim. Approximately 15min drive from Brigus.
Hawthorn Cottage Historic Site for those of you craving some history about our beautiful province.
Airbnb in Cupids, NL or Brigus, NL are really the best and closest options for rental accommodations.
The Convent Bed & Breakfast is taking reservations starting April 1st, although online looks fully booked for the day of the wedding – I wonder if some guest may have dibs on some rooms already.
plus there is lots of lawn for adventurous campers :)
